I'm hoping you meant "slow" as in the actual movement and gameplay and not "frame skipping" & lag... Well, if it's gameplay; I hope to find a better flow and speed for the final game.

Thanks I got the idea from a magazine. I am currently working on a game that uses the same art style with a beat em up horizontal view. I still have to work things out but I think it looks good so far.
